The Direct User Switching Task is a computer functionality extension that enables users to quickly switch between user sessions with a hot key, without having to go through the Windows XP/Vista/7 welcome screen. This feature provides a popup menu of icons similar to the Alt Tab task switching. It also allows user switching when the Windows XP welcome screen has been disabled for the classic logon prompt.
